Boy Scout Troop 159 is sponsored by Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Hewitt, NJ.
Boy Scouting is a year-round program for boys ages 11-17. Through the Boy Scout program, The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation's largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness.
Boy Scout Troop 159 meets between the months of September and June, every Wednesday from 7:30 to 9 PM in the Our Lady Queen of Peace gymnasium (1911 Union Valley Road, Hewitt, NJ 07421). Our program also consists of monthly camping trips and annual summer camp attendance in July.

Troop 159, effective January 1st, the Boy Scouts of America has updated their requirements for each rank. This happens periodically and we as a Troop want provide you and your sons with the updated requirements. You do not need to get a new book at this point, however, if your son is starting a new rank, then they should also start with the new requirements. If they have started the rank previously they can complete the rank with the old requirements as long as they began the rank prior to January 1. As a Troop, we are trying to move all the boys to the new requirements so we can consistently train and review them. The new requirements also offer an improvement in learning skills, etc. If you have any questions about the requirements or which your son should do, please contact Mr. Kopko.
